Life After Death

What happens when someone dies?

Depending on who you are,

You may get a funeral

With people you loved there to mourn.

But some get nothing

like they were never even born.

You may get thoughtful letters 

And tears from those around you,

While others get bad remarks

From people they barely knew.

You may get buried in a beautiful cemetery

With a nicely carved headstone

Or you may be the poor man

Who simply gets dumped in a potter's field.

No matter which side you’re on

No matter who you are

Someday you’ll be completely forgotten.

All the memories of you gone.
