K'Lah Gause

Why?

Why? That's the question we ask when we get told to do something we don't understand.

That's what's said when we witness someone else's lifestyle, but we can't comprehend.

Why, is what we think when we found ourselves being pessimistic.

Or when we fall in a trap when we can't resist it.

Why do we try to do things with negative mindsets? Thinking like that, whatever you're looking for, you won't find it.

Why do we as humans treat our world like crap?

Our ancestors would be disappointed, they wouldn't have that.

Why do we think it's okay to let death go over our heads?

A life could be taken away in a second: one moment I'm writing this, the next I'm laying on my death bed.

People say we need to shape up now in order to have a better future.

The future is already here, we're in that time period of complicated technology.

Why can't we think deeply, think how to reverse this tragedy?

Not even reverse it, how about instead of reversing it, lets avoid it.

Stop it from happening, so we can continue living, in what we think is peace.

We're just now realizing that we're under a spell.

No one cares though, must be because I'm young and they think I should just be worrying about that school bell.

Why do we continue living lies of our true selves?

But leave the people who know the truth behind, like old toys on shelves.

Why do we waste time trying to explain how we live?

To people who only see it from their perspective.

Why do we have to be judgmental?

Why can't we have open minds, be respectful?

I end this with asking you two simple questions.

How did we as a unit get to this point? And why did it happen?
