An Ode To Mathematics

 

To all the deliberation and thought

To all the formulas that I’ve been taught

To all the walks with intellectual talks

And exercises, lessons, explanations

To all the old and new creations

 

To all the reasoning, logic and sense,

To seeing things through a different lens,

To so much thinking, and these thoughts linking,

To just being able to concentrate and relax,

To using your abilities for a purpose to the max.

 

To the warm light above my desk,

To numbers so absolute grotesque,

To being unsure, and finding a detour.

To the comforting scratching of my pen,

To trying to solve it again and again.

 

To the subtracting and addition

To the multiplying and division

To the hope to finally find the slope

To the angle, shapes and graph

To the complexity of math!
