An Idea of Infinity

I am an idea of infinity,

I am one of divinity.

You may jolt at my difference,

scorn at my innocence,

laugh at my identity. Still, I am infinity --

numerous as the stars living and speaking

their infinite bars. I am a talking soul.

I am one to behold. I am like the noble

gases existing in great masses. I am always

on the rise, I am one with no demise.

I surround you each day, diverting you

from going astray. I breath into your lungs

breathing fire with my tongue. You may try

to catch me, you may try to capture me.

You may slander my definite body. Still

I'll rise into a new body, for I am of one

immortal. I am here at your portal. I have

always been here, I am an idea to adhere to.
